Hello दोस्तों! MeraExam की एक और class में आपका स्वागत है। आज की class में समझेंगे — Water Image — ऊपर-नीचे पलटना। घबराइए मत, हम एकदम basic से शुरू करेंगे। Ready? चलिए!
Scene 1/12
Learning Objective

Apply vertical inversion to letters and numbers, and keep it separate from the mirror rule.

🎯 Learning Objective

Apply vertical inversion to letters and numbers, and keep it separate from the mirror rule.

💡 Concept

  • A water reflection swaps TOP and BOTTOM (vertical inversion) — left and right do not move
  • Letters that look the SAME in water: C D E H I K O X — each has a horizontal line of symmetry
  • Digits unchanged in water (plain writing): 0, 3 and 8
  • The left-to-right ORDER of letters in a word stays the same — only each letter flips over
  • Letters that swap in water: M ↔ W; small b ↔ p
  • Same in BOTH mirror and water: only H, I, O, X — they carry both symmetry lines

✏️ Easy Example

Q. What does the capital letter M look like in its water image?

  1. Water flips top and bottom
  2. M turned upside down becomes W

Answer: W

🇮🇳 Real-Life Example

The reflection of the Taj Mahal in the pool in front of it appears upside down, yet its left and right sides stay on the same sides — that is a perfect water image.

📝 Exam-Level Example

Q. Which word looks exactly the same in its water image: HIKE, CATS, DESK?

  1. A word is unchanged only if every letter is from C D E H I K O X
  2. HIKE = H, I, K, E — all qualify → unchanged
  3. CATS has A, DESK has S — both fail

Answer: HIKE

📝 Exam-Level Example

Q. How many letters of the word DESK stay the same in its water image?

  1. Check each against C D E H I K O X
  2. D ✓, E ✓, S ✗, K ✓ → three letters stay the same

Answer: 3

🪄 Memory Trick

One-line separation: MIRROR moves you sideways (order reverses), WATER moves you down (order stays). Decide which flip BEFORE touching the options.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

  • ❌ Reversing the letter order in a water image — order reverses only in mirror images
  • ❌ Putting S in the water-safe list — S has no horizontal symmetry, so it changes
  • ❌ Mixing the two lists: A M T U V W Y are mirror-safe but NOT water-safe

🏆 Exam Tips

  • ✅ Chant the water-safe list as C D E H I K O X — eight letters, horizontal symmetry
  • ✅ Remember the four that survive both flips: H, I, O, X

📌 Summary

  • Water = top ↔ bottom swap; letter order unchanged
  • Same in water: C D E H I K O X; digits 0, 3, 8
  • M ↔ W in water
  • Same in both mirror and water: H, I, O, X only
